Professor Isaac Nathaniel Itodo was born on 18th August, 1964.  He obtained a B.Eng in Agricultural Engineering in 1986, an MSc in 1989 and a Ph.D. in 1993 from the University of Ibadan. He started his academic career as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, the University of Jos in 1987 and rose to the rank of Professor in October 2003. He was Head, Department of Agricultural Engineering, Dean, College of Engineering and Editor, Journal of Agriculture, Science and Technology. He was Programme Leader, Technology and Environment, Institute of Food Security and Director of Linkages.  He was a member of the Governing Council of the University from 2003 to 2007. He won the Outstanding Service Award of the university in 2014. He has supervised over forty undergraduate projects; twenty one M.Eng degrees and eleven Ph.D. theses. He is currently editor/member of editorial board of nine journals. He was Chairman/member of the COREN and the NUC accreditation committees to twenty two universities. He coordinated the UAM/NNPC Automotive Ethanol Biomass Programme and was a Mentor to the SEED program of the Nigeria Academy of Science. He was a member of the steering committee for the establishment of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Benue State University, Makurdi and was a Consultant to the same university for the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering. He was External Examiner to twenty-five M. Eng and sixteen Ph.D. candidates across nine universities and External Examiner to the undergraduate programme of three universities. He has assessed forty two candidates from sixteen universities for promotion to the professorial rank. He was Chief Examiner, Agricultural Engineering, Makurdi zonal office of COREN.  He was member of several committees of the NSE, which include the committee on one-year compulsory internship for graduate engineers and the establishment of school of engineering practice in 2006. He is a Fellow of the NSE, Solar Energy Society of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers. He is also a member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers and the International Solar Energy Society. He was President of Solar Energy Society of Nigeria and was elected Life Member of the society in 2020.  He was Lead Consultant to the UND and.served on the technical committees that d eveloped the bio-fuels training manual and development of standards for bio-fuels production in Nigeria. Professor Itodo was the Technical Secretary of the Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities and was an ERM Inspector. He holds a joint patent with the RMRDC of the acha dehulling machine. He is author of a book and has one hundred and nine publications. His publication won the 3rd best engineering academic publication in Nigeria in 2019. He has attended and presented papers at eighty one conferences. He was awarded the Kassel University, Germany scholarship for scientists from developing countries for the International Solar Energy Society solar world congress in 2011.  ``` He is married with a daughter.
