Engr. Ademola Olorunfemi was born 23rd November 1960, to Prince and Princess Ezekiel Abiodun Olorunfemi of Supare-Akoko, Akoko-South Local Government of Ondo State, Nigeria. He had his primary education at the Ibadan City Council Primary School, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State and secondary education at the famous St. Joseph’s College Ondo and came out in Division 1 in the West African Secondary Certificate Examination Council in 1978. He thereafter studied Agricultural Engineering in the University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1984. He was employed immediately after his National Youth Service as an Assistant Lecturer at the Lagos State Polytechnic in 1985. He rose from the post of Asssistant Lecturer to Lecturer III in 1988, Lecturer II in 1990, Lecturer I in 1993, Senior Lecturer in 1996, Principal Lecturer in 2002 and Chief Lecturer in 2006. He has a master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering in 1991 from the University of Ibadan. In Lagos State Polytechnic, he occupied different positions which included Head of Department, Agricultural Engineering; Director, School of Engineering; Director, LASPOTECH Konsult Limited. He was also the Chairman, External Affairs Relations Committee from its inception in 1998 to 2011, when he was appointed Commissioner for Agriculture in Ondo State. As Chairman, External Relations Committee, Engr. Olorunfemi facilitated several collaborations, partnerships and linkages home and abroad and scored several grants to the Polytechnic, also from within and without. He was Commissioner for Agriculture between 2011-2013 in his home State Ondo,  he intiated and executed rural based agricultural policies for high yeild crops, increased Mechanized farming, and extensive Agricultural Extension Programs, poverty alleviation, youth and women empowerment. He was responsible for great achievements in Agricultural Development during the time of former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina. He made immense contributions to the development of the Agricultural Sector of Ondo State as Commissioner for Agriculture, that Dr. Olusegun Mimiko’s Administration retained him as  Special Adviser on Agriculture, even as President of Nigerian Society of Engineers. He was President of NSE from 2014 and 2015, where he pioneered the NSE Nigerian Infrastructure Report and placed NSE in the Public Domain for good reasons. He was a Council Member of COREN and NASENI. He has the membership of various professional bodies, including Fellow, Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers; Fellow, Nigerian Society of Engineers; Member, American Sociery of Agricultural and Biological Engineers; Member, European Society of Engineers; Member, Institution of Agricultural Engineers, United Kingdom, and Fellow, Institute of Personnel Management, Chartered. He was also a Member of the Advisory Board Infrastructure Incoporated, USA. Engr. Olorunfemi is the Vice President of the Old Boys Association of his Alma Mater St. Joseph’s College Ondo and he is a Member of the Frontline Ajafa Social Klobb with very prominent Sons of Supare-Akoko. A widely travelled and Sociable Engineer, he is a devoted Christian and married to Omotolani with four beautiful children, Adeteniola, Adegboyega, Aderinsola and Adewonuola.
