Adeolu Olanrewaju ODUSOTE is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Pearls Group, a group of companies that work in the fields of engineering, the environment, information and communications technologies (ICT) and management in Nigeria since 1993. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), and a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). He is a fellow of the United States of America’s Hubert Humphrey fellowship Program and of the International Visitors and Leadership Program (IVLP). He is also a double Fellow of the Salzburg Seminar. In 1985, Engr. Odusote was judged the Young Manager of the Year in the Young Managers’ Competition of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) when he presented a research paper titled “Reducing and Reusing Scrap Materials in Aluminium Production Processes”. This effort ignited and has since sustained his interests in seeing Nigeria, and, indeed, the world, run on the premises of sustainable development. Engr. Odusote was the pioneer Chairman of the Environment Division (now Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineering, NIEE) of the Abuja Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (2003-2008). He is the immediate past Treasurer of the Federation of African Engineering Organizations, FAEO. He has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (1977) and a master's degree in business administration (1980), both from the University of Lagos. Engr. Adeolu Odusote participated in the 2011 National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS, Kuru, Nigeria) Course (SEC 33) and thereafter became a Member of the National Institute, mni. Engr. Odusote’s individual research that year on youths, which was very humanities-inclined, was a clear demonstration of his belief, participation and comfortable engagement in discourses that are interdisciplinary in nature. In all these endeavours, Engr. Odusote strives to see how most effectively young people can be engaged to contribute their best to making the world a better place. These quests instruct his present commitment in various initiatives that expose young people in Nigeria, Africa, and across the world in diverse learning processes that should make them occupy their rightful places in worthwhile pursuits for global sustainable development. It is for this purpose he has established the Pearls Learning Hub in the Durunmi, Area 1, Abuja. Rev. Adeolu Odusote came into a personal encounter with the Lord, Jesus Christ, in 1977. He has since been engaged in various areas of Christian service. He has pioneered churches on the platform of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, the most recent of which has been (as Associate Pastor) the Foursquare Gospel Church, Asokoro, Abuja. He has engaged in different aspects of Church administration and world evangelism since 1982. Engr. Odusote enjoys reading, writing, taking long walks, table tennis, swimming, and travelling. He is married to Rev. (Mrs.) Ibukun Odusote with whom they have a precious daughter, Ayanfeoluwa.
