Engr. Babatunde Johnson was born on 6^th May, 1950 in Lagos, He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) in 1974 in Civil Engineering from the University of Lagos. He started his Engineering career in 1974 and worked in several Consulting Engineering firms. In January 1980, he set up the firm of “Tee Jay Partnership”, Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers and became the Managing Partner. The firm has since its inception been responsible for the Design, Supervision and Management of various Civil and Structural Engineering Projects in both the public and private sectors of the economy with projects contributing significantly to the economy of the country. His clients include but not limited to Central Bank of Nigeria, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Union Bank Nigeria Plc, Crusader Insurance Company Nigeria Plc, Federal University of Agriculture,Umudike,Abia State, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Navy, and World Bank – Funded and Assisted Water Projects for Lagos Water Corporation. Over the years, a sizeable number of young graduate Engineers have passed through the company including Youth Corpers being trained and assisted to gain professional experience. Most of these engineers are now holding important positions in the society. He is a Pioneer member of the Lagos State Urban Renewal Board.

Engr. Johnson is a recipient of the T.A. Kasim Award for Meritorious Services to the Engineering profession – Nigeria Society of Engineers- Lagos Branch. He has been exposed to diverse experiences in Technical, Administrative and Policy Matters in Engineering. A Rotarian since 1982, Chartered member and past President of the Rotary Club of Ogba, District Secretary, Rotary International District 911 Nigeria and Assistant District Governor for 3 consecutive years in addition to being a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He facilitated the establishment of several libraries in various secondary schools in Ogba and Ikeja Areas of Lagos State as well as provision of Boreholes to several Communities.

Engr. Babatunde Johnson is a COREN Registered Engineer. Member, Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria. Fellows, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers and Nigeria Institution of Structural Engineers.  He is the recipient of national honour, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in year 2023, and Traditional Chieftaincy Title holder of “Gbobaniyi of Egbe Kingdom”, Lagos State.
