Dr. Joseph Uujamhan born on April 4th 1948, a secondary school product of Immaculate Conception College Benin City obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Ahmadu Belle University Zaria, (1973), Masters (MSc) (1978) and Doctorate (PhD) Degrees (1981) from the Brunel University Uxbridge England His doctoral research work, on Water Conservation and Thermofluid Applications, sponsored by the Council of British Ceramic and Sanitary ware manufactures, UK, is the basis of the design and commercial production of water-saving water closets (WCS) currently in use.

A COREN registered Engineer, Dr Uujamhan is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer of Great Britain; Member, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK; Member, American Society of Mechanical Engineers; Member, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-conditioning Engineers; and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He cut his engineering teeth in the seventies with Mandilas Air-conditioning Company wherein he received a formal Air-conditioning System Design training in William Bynum Gamer Air-conditioning Education Centre, Syracuse, New York State in 1975. A Consulting Engineer from 1981 to date, interspaced with University lecturing, he runs a Total Engineering Consulting firm as Founder/Principal Partner of Oska—Jo & Partners Limited since 1989. Dr Uujamhan is a Specialist Consultant in Building Services Engineering, Power Generation & Transmission, Oil & Gas Engineering Services.

Dr Uujamhan was Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers Benin Branch from 1989 to 1991 and rose through the ranks to become the national President in 1996 and 1997. Dr Uujamhan, also, served for four years as the Vice President, African Region, World Federation of Engineering Organisations (ComTech) from 1998 to 2001.

A highly exposed and travelled Engineer, Patron of many Social and Religious Associations, Dr Uujamhan is a tested, trusted, selfless and dedicated leader of many organizations including having been a Trustee of Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association and National President of Immaculate Conception College, Benin, Old Boys Association. He is a humble beneficiary of many local and international awards, a practicing Roman Catholic of the Order of the Knights of St. Mulumba, and knighted by Pope Benedict XVI in 2005 as Knight of St. Gregory The Great. On the 24th of September 2014, Pope Francis, at the Vatican City, granted Dr. Uujamhan and his wife a rare audience, wherein, he presented to the Pope his fast selling book, “The Indispensable Joseph I Know From The Popes”. Needless to state their elation at the opportunity to hold and kiss the fingers of the reigning pontiff, Pope Francis.

Dr. Uujamhan, a distinguished Shell scholar; the current Chairman Board of Trustees Nigerian Society of Engineers; happily married since February 1977 to Lady Patricia Ekaniyere Uujamhan, (LSM, MSc) and blessed with four children, two of whom hold doctorate degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering respectively, is a grandfather of two. His hobbies include reading religious books, playing table tennis, watching lawn tennis and good football. To God, he attributes the entire journey of trials, tribulations and Joys of his life.
