Onochie Azubike ANYAOKU was born on 19th September 1955 in Obosi, within the Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State. He completed his primary and Secondary education in St Andrews Central School Obosi (1966) and Merchants of Light Secondary School, Oba (1973), respectively. Thereafter, he successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos in 1978. Subsequently, he took up an engineering professional career with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, in 1979 and rose to the position of Group Executive Director, Refineries before retiring into private engineering life. Concurrent with these he served actively in the Chemical Engineering Society, State Government and Community.
Onochie Anyaoku’s over forty years of meritorious and fulfilling cutting edge experience in the energy, oil and gas industry covering the entire value chain has earned him a specialty in Refinery & Petrochemicals sector and Bio Fuels development and deployment. His career has been accentuated with several significant professional achievement and awards within Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers. He successfully rose from plant operating floor, process engineering and project management to breakthrough executive leadership in the oil and gas sector.
