Dr. Tajudeen Bawa-Allah was born on February 10, 1941 in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He had his secondary education at Hussey College, Warri and attended the Technical College (now the Polytechnic Ibadan) for the ONC in Mechanical Engineering. He proceeded to Moscow Automobile and Road Construction Institute, Moscow (Russia Federation) where he graduated with M.S. (Mechanical Engineering) with specialization in Road Transportation in 1973. He earned the Ph.D in Transport Studies from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) in 2006.
The professional career of Dr. Bawa-Allah has been in the Public Service of Nigeria at the Federal, State and Local Government levels, and the Private Sector. In the public service, he rose from the level of Assistant Technical Officer to Senior Engineer in the Local Government Service. He was Assistant General Manager in the Federal Government Service and climaxed his carrier in Lagos State Civil Service as General Manager/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Transport Corporation (LSTC). In the private sector, he pioneered a transportation consultancy firm (Kabol Consultants) which prepared many projects including the Lagos Urban Transport Project (LUTP) in which Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is the executing agency. He occupied public appointments in 24 organizations. He is the current Acting Dean of the School of Transport of Lagos State University (LASU) ojo.
Dr. Bawa-Allah is a COREN registered Engineer, Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers, Fellow Nigerian Institute of Management and Member, Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transports. He is well published.
